I like them, and will keep them, now that I've already washed and filled them. But, if I had it to do over, I would have gotten the ones with the solid stainless lids and just put labels on them. While the clear lids are a good idea, only the theory holds up. I did a quick soap and water wash on these and set them in the dish drainer to dry for about an hour. First lid....no problem; seal appeared intact and no scratches or marring. Second lid, no leaking but the lid has dull areas and small scratches on the clear (obviously plastic I now know, not glass) top. No big deal, because you can't tell, especially if there is something white inside like sugar or flour. Third lid....water under the seal. Noted a very small bump on the edge of the metal which was probably the problem. With much patience, persistence, tissue and a hair dryer I was able to get it dried. But I put a piece of clear plastic wrap on the top of the canister before putting the lid on, as it is obviously not going to be air-tight if it won't keep water out. Fourth lid....same thing, only without a detectable flaw in the metal. Not so lucky getting the water out of this one, so will see how it looks in the morning. Fifth lid....water, again. And the top of the cannister lid is dull all around the outside rim, not shiny like the rest. Apparently it had been rubbing against something. I don't know if it was previously used or not; the rest looks OK. I would recommend putting a piece of light plastic wrap over anything that is moisture sensitive. OR, just buy the ones with the solid stainless lids. I would not recommend putting these in the dishwasher at all, and don't even put the lids in the sink as it's possible the seal under the clear plastic will eventually fail. Rinse, wipe dry, and use a little Windex on stubborn smears. They really are pretty, but more work than they should be. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exactly what I was looking for *by T***S on Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2013* I was looking the a set of Jars to put flour, sugar, brown sugar, rice, and potato flakes in so i could keep them readily accesible on the counter. The problem I ran into was finding them for an even somewhat reasonable price, and even then the quality was bleh. I read several reviews, and these seemed like a good option for the right price i was willing to spend.As always, delivery was quick thanks to Amazon shipping. I opened the individually wrapped canisters to find all in pristine condition. I check the seal on each of them and all were perfectly tight, but still allowed my son to easily open them. The people over at Matbah found the perfect blend. the acrylic(or so they feel) windows are the perfect touch to see what is inside. I usually grab them by remembering which size is what, but when cooking with my son, he just quickly checks through the lid. My brown sugar is still moist months later. If I for any reason ever need a canister set again, I would buy these. I also will be getting some for gifts for my Cooking friends at a later date. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice canisters *by A***D on Reviewed in the United States on July 28, 2014* These canisters came well packaged, arrived quickly after shipping, and look very nice. The lids seal well due to the shape of the lids and the top of the canisters. They do not have a rubber gasket, but they do keep food fresh so far and look nice on my counter. The big one holds most of a large bag of flour and the second biggest holds two canisters of oatmeal. I added chalkboard labels to spice them up a little, but they look nice on their own. I've been looking for nice canisters for a while, but didn't want the latch type lids that break and I didn't want to spend a fortune for canisters that seal well and hold baking supplies.
