The cap is smaller than a Scribner (square jug) cap. It does fit an ACI round jug. But, measuring the set that I bought, the large cap has an ID of 3 9/16", probably for a OD on the jug threads of 3 1/2" and the threads per inch is 2. The small vent cap ID is 1" at about 8 threads per inch. **Q: What’s the ID of the cap piece itself?** A: The Outside Diameter (OD) of the jug cap measured at the cap opening is just under 4.1". The Inside Diameter (ID) of the jug cap opening outside the threads is just under 3.5". ID measured inside the threads, inside the jug cap is 3.25". Height of the jug cap is ~2.75" measured from the raised shoulder where the hose would thread in, to the base of the cap. The OD of the jug vent cap measured at the cap opening is 1.0". The OD measured where the protruding grip features are: ~1.25". The ID of the jug vent cap opening outside the threads is just over ~0.75".
