It is really high-quality and does everything I need.First of all, it is big enough. Whereas before I would have to do multiple rounds of frying for, say, chicken thighs, now I can do two grocery packages of chicken thighs all at once.Second, it is easy to clean. The coating works very well and means that my cleanup time is reduced from my old frying pan.Third, it is beautiful. We got the teal version which sets off our kitchen nicely.Fourth, it works well on our ceramic stovetop. I see some other reviewers complaining about it, but I've never had it scratch our cooktop nor cause any undue cleaning issues.But please be aware - this thing is heavy. As a man, I am able to move it around easily, but my wife, who is not tiny, has a tough time with it. I use this skillet for everything...frying eggs, cooking steaks, making soups...it does it all. I bought a glass lid that fit on camping skillets and it works perfectly on this pan.The blue enamel coating on the outside of the pan is beautiful and easy to keep clean. I received my Dutch oven and it is heavy. I have cooked Jambalaya first preparing on the stove then oven baking for 2.5 hrs delicious. I have also done stew from stovetop to oven for 3 hours and was delicious. I browned the meat prior to putting the dish together and it did well with that and coming to a boil quickly. I have had no chips so far and have used it a few times as I stated stovetop to oven. I used the rubber stoppers that set around the rim for storage. As with most coated Dutch ovens you have to be careful with the enamel but I have had no issues so far with regular cooking. The quality is beautiful I am happy with my purchase. Clean up was also easy.Updated Nov 2022This Dutch oven has held up wonderful. Lately I have made the rustic bread recipe you just stir together put in fridge and then pull out let rise and drop into heated Dutch oven to bake for 30 minutes. This Dutch oven takes high temperatures and back to back loaf baking.
