I did have some trouble using the key or undoing the lock, so I sprayed some WD40 on the part that comes apart and in the keyhole. Then I used teflon dry bike chain lube on the same parts and in the keyhole, put the key in there and turned it a bunch. Now it works perfectly and is easy to lock or unlock! Because of the awkwardness of the ebike frame, we should have went with a wider and/or longer lock. It isn't long enough to really lock a wheel real good, and isn't wide enough to secure the step through mid frame. This would be a good secondary lock for the XP 3.0, but not the primary.
