A: If you can keep it on a elevated surface it should be ok. Placing it directly on the sand will cause issues with it being sucked up in the blower and then inflatable tube man.

We will use this air dancer for swimmers to sight on for an open water ocean swim event. The swim is 3 miles, to a pier 1.5 miles away, and back. We hope that swimmers will be able to see the dancer from at least 1/2 mile away. I got a red dancer. I tested the device when I received it, and it was easy to set up. I think it will help swimmers, but we'll see during the race.
