There are two pens - one is pink and the other is blue. They both have a small magnet so they can stick too. Even the square eraser is magnetic which is awesome. The calendar is a nice size and works great for us as we are using it to plan our days in our homeschool. You can use any dry erase marker, not just the ones that it comes with.
