You receive one set of 2 rods and 4 toothed cross bars. You do not receive high-fire wires or stilts as shown in the examples. The rods unscrew so that you can remove some of the toothed cross bars, if necessary. I use it to hang ornaments and other small hanging items using high fire wire to fashion hanging hooks and then elevate with stilts. It can be arranged in different configurations or separated. I found it useful for firing small objects such as ornaments or jewelry that needs to be glazed on all sides.
