Description:This digital hotplate stirrer has a 6” x 6” chemical-resistant ceramic top plate and advanced microprocessor controls. The EcoPlus provides excellent heating performance at temperatures up to 360°C and the powerful DC motor provides fast and efficient mixing of sampleswith volumes up to 2L.A large LCD display shows both the set and actual temperature and speed. For added safety, a warning light will flash and “HOT” will be displayed when the top plate surface exceeds 50°C. Review: Likes: This is a good stir plate for the price. The stir rate ramps up to the set speed so the stir bar has a chance to accelerate. The heater will bring a 250 ml beaker up to temperature rapidly and once stabilized the temperature control is accurate. Dislikes: The heater initially overshoots by 5 or more degrees and takes about 10 minutes to fully stabilize. Beware of this if the maximum temperature is critical. My temperature probe connector had 3 cold solder joints (poor contact) and one became detached. The probe was re-soldered and works fine but this is poor workmanship.
Review: Great value and works perfectly. I just received my second unit for a 2nd Soxhlet...my first unit has worked flawlessly for almost 1 year and I use 5000ml flat bottom boiling flasks.

Likes: This is a good stir plate for the price. The stir rate ramps up to the set speed so the stir bar has a chance to accelerate. The heater will bring a 250 ml beaker up to temperature rapidly and once stabilized the temperature control is accurate. It's not working properly. The temp stays at 30 and doesn't go up. I can't return it since the return window is closed. I will contact the seller to see if it has any warranty if I have any success I will update this review.
