Haha! The lack of volume control and silent option must be why they're selling them so cheap.It's a good monitor, accurate (as checked with machine at hospital).The volume is very loud, great for hard of hearing. The numbers are big, great for less than perfect vision. It stores readings, great for less than perfect memories. It even averages recent BP readings for you.The on button has a bit of a hair trigger and it can take a few seconds to get it to shut up once it's activated. Definitely not something you should use while people are sleeping.You could always take the batteries out for transporting.The cuff detaches easily, which can be handy if you're doing repeat measurements as you can leave it on while you go about your business and attach it back to measure. It's also easier to apply the cuff without worrying about accidentally activating the REMAIN CALM voice.I bought three, two for work and one for home, and will probably buy more for family. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Blood pressure cuff for dummy. It's accurate with my doctors numbers. But the memory feature is a big help when I need to compare my daily readings to see how my Blood pressure is coming down with the new meds.It even tells you if those numbers are too high or too low. So it's good for those with less than perfect eyesight.With the big numbers, the voice telling you what they mean and simple instructions makes this the very best I've ever seen.
