It does take a little getting used to because of it’s very strong retractable mechanism, this is no bad thing compared to the one I was issued with it’s like night & day difference in quality & robustness. It’s smart discreet & very well put together, however choose wisely which model to buy, my version the clip on is only ideal if the user is going to wear it clipped on to a waist belt if you can’t wear it clipped to a belt then consider a hook on version but do remember the recoil action will be just as powerful avoid flimsy clothing if you don’t want it to damage your garment or detach from you. I am aware you can also hang keys from the attached key ring holder but in my case I’ve removed the key ring & use it as an I.d pass holder only. The mechanism is smooth & quiet but do beware keep your hand on your I.d pass / keys as you pull it out because this will spring back very strongly especially take care if you clip it close your midriff. I like the materials used I can see & feel this will take a lot of heavy use before it shows signs of ware. The weight is reasonable, I can’t say it’s noticeable or makes a difference when I’m wearing it & definitely not bulky I haven’t snagged it anywhere.
