Hang posters, papers, photo’s on walls with MAGNETS not tape or glue. The gallon is enough to create a 10’ x 10’ magnetic receptive wall. The kit includes 1 gallon (128 oz) of Magic Wall Magnetic Paint and two strong 3" diameter circle magnets with a white front. Simply apply two coats of the Magic Wall Magnetic Paint to a flat primed or painted surface and then topcoat with any color latex paint. Do not apply directly to drywall, please seal with a primer first. The paint will have a slightly textured feel to it due to the iron powder in the paint. Using a foam brush will reduce the texture and yield a smoother finished surface. A roller with a low nap can also be used but will create more texture. Can I apply the paint with a roller? Yes, but a roller will create a more textured surface, which will not attract magnets as well. If you do use a roller, after each coat lightly buff the surface when dry with fine sandpaper or the back of a kitchen scrub pad to make the surface as smooth as possible. Does it work with all magnets? – No, magnets that are too heavy and don’t have enough surface area won’t stick, the flat type of refrigerator magnets work best. What type of wall surface does it need? – Flat wall surfaces work best. Stucco or other non-smooth surfaces will create too much space between the magnets and the iron powder in the paint. How does it work? – The iron powder in the paint creates a thin magnetic receptive surface that will attract magnets. Is there any lead in it? - No, the iron powder is what makes it magnetic receptive. There is no lead in the Magic Wall Magnetic Paint. Can I tint the color or is it available in any other colors? I used two coats, and light magnets barely stick. I will have to apply several new coats during break and see what happens. I read online that there is a particular type of magnet you should use with it, so I'll try those.The smell is awful, and I made the mistake of painting on a school night. This needs to air out a few days before being around it. I had a massive headache from it.The pieces of metal in this are very granular, so the surface is very bumpy ke sandpaper.
