Then the horse is set for hours if not the whole day.It will start to come off with sweat (why you should not put it above or too close to the eyes!)Horses don't love having it put on, which is expected, and it can appear messy. It's better than a spray when taking care of a wound. Wounds take a long time to heal though, and it's already almost half gone. I would like to have a bigger container with more. Also, the first time I left it in the shed, it melted because it was so hot. This is summer in California; temps are in the 100s right now. I think there should be instruction on the back of the jar to keep in a cool place. I bring it in and keep in the refrigerator.
