I have both the 1-1/2 and the 1-inch binders. Both binder sizes hold sheet protectors without a problem with a clearance of approximately 1/2-inch. The photo pages extend to the very edge of the binder but do not hang over the edge. The tab of a tabbed divider sticks out approximately 1/4-inch beyond the edge of the binder when the binder is closed. I love the look and feel of these binders. They are sturdily constructed and I've had mine for two years without any problems. They wipe clean using just soapy water and a damp cloth. They also have that classic look and feel. The rings are D-rings which helps to keep the pages nice and even when the binder is open.
