I actually loop it around the unit itself very easily and without it unraveling. **Q: Can this be mounted to the floor laying down?** A: It can be stored this way, however, it needs to be stood up right to be used. I've coupled it with a dust separator and the long hose reaches to every corner of my 20'x20' shop.
