I have no problems with it making my scalp itch. I think its because of the shea butter which helps moisturize but doesn't make your hair oily. I highly recommend. I like to switch every once in awhile so my hair doesn't get used to the same shampoo all of the time so I would also recommend the Keratin or Moroccan oil infused one they make as well **Q: Does this weight hair down?** A: Like all others, it depends entirely on how much of the product you use. If you use too much, of course it's going to weigh your hair down AND be greasy; obviously if you do the opposite, it won't. As a rule of thumb, no more than a quarter size amount should be used to achieve good results. Apply on the ends only. Best thing to do? Follow the instructions on the bottle.
