They have a burnt finish and will purposely look worn as you use them. They are relatively smooth and lack the VZ thumb groove. Which is the thing I didn't like about the originals. They could be wider and a little thicker, but thats preference.

A: I don't own a GSG but the GSG claims to have many 1911 compatible parts.
So, take a gamble and buy them.
They will probably fit.  
If not, Amazon has a good return policy.
I like these grips very much but I put them in a government version 1911A1 45ACP.
So it's your call.
