**Q: Is this food made in the United States?**
A: Instinct's website states, "All Instinct raw and kibble recipes are made in the U.S.A. using the finest ingredients from around the world. Our frozen and freeze-dried raw recipes are made in our company-owned facilities in Lincoln, Nebraska. Our Lincoln facilities earned Safe Quality Food’s (SQF) highest level of certification two years in a row: an “Excellent” Food Safety rating and certification in Quality. We are the ONLY raw pet food country in the US to earn this high level of achievement. Instinct was also awarded Lincoln Manufacturer of the Year in 2021. Our kibble recipes are made with partners in the United States and our wet recipes are made in Kansas and Thailand by reputable co-packers." 

Their website also mentions their lamb comes from New Zealand. It isn't common for pet food manufacturers to get their ingredients from China anymore due to what happened in 2007-2008, so I wouldn't worry about what the other commenter said. The only things manufacturers get from China at this point are the vitamins and minerals simply because they need so much of it and China is the only place that has it in the amounts they need. 

Also, Purina does not own Instinct pet food. Instinct is made by Nature's Variety, and this hasn't changed.

**Q: what is the protien and fat content on this food?**
A: Hi Ashley, my name is Missy and I work with Instinct! The protein content for this particular recipe is 43% and the fat content is about 20%. Hopefully this information helps!

**Q: Package reads, "keep packaged sealed to maintain freshness,"  would a snap-lock container have too much air in it to "maintain [product] freshness"?**
A: I store mine in a container. The cats don’t complain about staleness

**Q: how is this food stored? Does it have to be refrigerated?**
A: Hi there! My name is Cait and I work with Instinct. This recipe can be stored just like any other kibble. We recommend resealing it in-between servings to keep the kibble fresh and storing in a cool, dry place. The Raw Boost pieces are freeze-dried so just like human freeze-dried food, we simply removed the moisture making them shelf-stable. That way, they can be stored just like the kibble! I hope this helps!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ High quality food for your cats.

I originally bought this food because one of my cats has a sensitive stomach, and I needed a grain-free option that wouldn’t cause tummy trouble. Finding a food that all 4 of my cats could eat without issues felt almost impossible, but this one has been a winner in our house. I’ve been buying it consistently for quite a while now, and I’ve noticed a huge difference. No upset stomachs, no random vomiting after meals, and everyone seems to digest it well. Their coats also look healthier and softer since switching. The funniest part is the freeze-dried marshmallow-shaped pieces — my cats are completely obsessed with them. They will literally dig through the bowl to find those first, and sometimes end up arguing over who gets them. I’ve tried plenty of foods over the years, and this is one of the few where all 4 cats actually come running when they hear the bag open. As a multi-cat household, I also appreciate that the ingredients seem higher quality than a lot of other grain-free foods in the same price range. It’s hard to find something that keeps everyone happy, healthy, and excited for mealtime, but this food checks all the boxes for us.
