BEAMii Lock Light, Black

BEAMii Lock Light - BROWN - Improvements In order to unlock my front door when I come home late at night, I have to turn on very bright lights which shine directly into my neighbor's bedroom. Although they have never complained, I noticed that they put what looks like a large piece of cardboard on the window pane, presumably to block my lights from waking them up. Now that I have received and mounted the BEAMii fixture on the door, right above the locks, I can not only quickly stick my key into the two keyholes, but I think my neighbors are happy too. It was easy to mount (I used the adhesive pad that came with the device)and actually looks quite attractive. It's also very simple to turn on, and it goes off exactly as promised. As soon as more are in stock, I plan to order another one for my sister's entry, which is on the other side of the house. Delivery by Amazon was quick (even to Hawaii) and uncomplicated.

Purchased two of these and they work really well but the "gold" color is not gold to me. At best, I would call it a dull looking bank bronze. I would still recommend this item to a friend but I would tell them that they are probably going to have to paint it, if they want it to match anything on the door. If you order a black one and you have a black door, you're all set. :-)

Purchased two of these and they arrived very quickly. Easy to install on the doors and they work great, really light up the lock/keyboard area nicely so there is no fumbling around in the dark anymore. Once you've unlocked the door, you can touch the light housing again to turn it off, but if you forget to do that, they will turn off by themselves after about 45 secs or so. Great item.

I bought two of these about 1 1/2 years ago. One doesn't work due to a dead battery. The description states a 4 year battery life with 2 uses per day. This hardly got that kind of use. This 3.6v 1/2 AA lithium battery is expensive.

This is 2nd unit I have purchased. First one 3 yrs ago has been great and still works. This one doesn't work below about +20°F, the battery might be weak. Update..I changed the battery on both and both work in cold now.The light is bright and I mounted on door for 1st unit, but this unit I mounted on the door jamb by the strikers because there are two locks and I wanted to see both - at least a bit. This method works.Overall its a good unit and I would have rated my first one 5 stars but this is only 3 stars due to the weaker battery or whatever.

Looked at all of the options for lighting our front door lock, went with the Beamii because I did not want to have to depend on the solar recharge feature of most of the other lights. It was easy to install, went with the no-drill option, and works great. It is also very sleek and stylish. I highly recommend this light!

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that it wouldn't stick to my door frame. I did have to use the enclosed screws. So if you don't want to make a hole, you may not be able to stick this onto an exterior door. Other than that, it works very well. I would purchase again.

Great product - If you have a key ring with several keys, the light is bright enough to help locate the correct key and stays on long enough to get the door unlocked. Goes off soon enough to not attract bugs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you are looking for something like this product. GREAT price also. Thanks.
