A: I don’t think you can.  I have tried to keep stuff really cold just for my 12 hr work shift. I do use the cold frozen packs to keep it at least semi-cold.

**Q: Are the strap clips and the hoops on the bag that the strap connects to metal?**
A: No. They are plastic. I have had no problem with it. It can carry a lot of weight.

I love this lunch box. It’s nice and roomy and fits all of my food and drinks. It looks and feels well made and the color I picked out is nice. My drinks or food stays cold or hot for half of my work shift, which is good for a cloth/canvas lunch box other then the big bulky plastic ones. Good price, well made, looks good, functions great. Great choice.
