This durable material can certainly allow for a good tumble or two without harm for those of us who sometimes places object precariously atop other, less stable, objects. Moreover, the springs that hold the jaw shut are easy to remove if desired. The level of detail is top quality as they have not only the large plates sculpted via details as you might find on all skull models, but they've also carved out the finer details like the mental and infraorbital foramen and lacrimal bone, and that level of detail extends to the inside and underside as well.
