It clings magnetically to the side of the iPad, but I’ve got a iPad case with a slot for the pen to keep it safe. Charging lead is included (don’t use fast charge). The pen was a lot cheaper than the Apple version, very good value. Couple of quibbles: the little plastic cover for the charger cable is not attached to the pen and will be very easy to lose.
