I'm not sure why the author decided to introduce a whole new set of characters when I feel there was still much more she could do with the ones we already had. I also don't understand why she keeps making damsels in distress out of the main characters.Like all her other books there is a female character and a male character that end up getting together. So we have this long expensive annoying sex scene that just does not go with this book. I've said this in every single review so far. it almost feels like a romance novel with a little bit of supernatural and detective storyline.It also bothers me how the men seem to look at these women like they are helpless and cannot defend themselves. In this book the woman is a marshall and yet she still the damsel in distress being saved by the man. I believe this will be the last book I read of hers for a while.I don't like not finishing series and I also bought the next two parts. But I need a break! I read the next two books don't even have the characters that I've grown to like. It seems to me she's introducing more characters to make them hook up and end up having this happily ever after. It's sad there's so much potential here I just don't understand why she keeps doing the same thing over and over again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A mystry book with twists and a backstory of hopeful wonder - there are ghosts? Maybe! *by K***R on August 30, 2015* The Krewe of Hunters series is a good series by Heather Graham. I'm reading each and every book in order. Some are more interesting to me than others but each book has a different location. The characters are brought in from book to book but each book seems to feature a different person. Some times a female and some times a male .. each will find a love and mate but that is just a back story to the mystery and who done it story line. Women may think this series was written for them because of the loving relationship that develops for the main character; but I think men will like the mystery story which you will usually not figure out. You can guess but it takes you to the end to KNOW! ### ⭐⭐⭐ IT WAS OKAY *by T***A on September 12, 2014* A U.S. Marshall and her Texas Ranger lover are able to solve crimes with the help of ghosts In an old inn, and a ghost that walks among the living at the Alamo. Interesting concept, I guess. The many pages about the history of the Alamo was, I think, overkill. It was as though the author wanted to prove to the reader that she had done her research concerning the Alamo. Okay already, you did your research, good for you, now please get on with your story!
