This product is incredible. I moved to an area that has the hardest water I've ever encountered. I did a lot of research, both using Amazon reviews and YouTube videos ranking the products, and thought that this one looked to have the most positive response. I'm really glad I chose to buy this because I feel a difference in my hair and my skin since I started using it. This filter really softened the water. The only thing is that it lasts 3/4 of the total duration it advertises, but I don't mind it so much. It could be that the water here is just that bad. As with air filters for air purifiers, I've kind of learned that they don't last for as long as they're advertised. Because I know this is the case for so many kinds of filters, I'm still giving this product a 5 star rating because it really helps to soften the water. Moreover, I was afraid it wouldn't fit correctly, but the two I've had gave me no problems when hooking them up to the shower. Itchy skin, dull hair and hair loss were such a problem... until I got this filter. What a difference: No buildup for months, smooth skin, shiny hair. The filter didn't last as long as advertised (only a month shorter) but I had a feeling it wouldn't because the water here is seriously that bad.
