A true MOTION SENSOR, you decide the placement. It can be mounted to the wall, placed just about anywhere on sticky tabs OR just sat on the floor, tucked under the bed or a nearby desk or dresser. As soon as mom enters the field, the alarm sounds. This means I can place it a few inches above her bed, so it alerts if she bends her knee or a little higher so it sounds if she sits up. I can point it at her bed, so it sounds if she even starts to turn over. I can put it on the wall near the bed, so it sounds when her legs swing over. PLUS: the alarm can be mounted or carried around like a pager and the volume can be adjusted. It works well enough around the house or if I need to step outside in the yard or to get the mail. I’ve got the system, (chair alarm and bed alarm), but we move the bed alarm around so it works in other ways, like if she’s in her wheelchair and I want to be alerted if she starts to move, etc.
