## Description

Hydrofera Blue 2"x2" Bacteriostatic Foam Wound Dressing is a sterile absorptive foam dressing made of Hydrofera Bacteriostatic (PVA) polyvinyl alcohol sponge. Hydrofera Blue is a simple, safe, effective and proven moist wound dressing used as an external dressing for management of wounds such as pressure ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, arterial ulcers, diabetic ulcers, donor sites, abrasions, lacerations, radiation burns, post-surgical incisions, and other external wounds. Must be hydrated with sterile saline or sterile water and with excess squeeze out before use.

A: I AM SORRY FOR ERROR. YOU DO HAVE TO WET THESE.  I REC'D THEM TODAY.   THE DESCRIPTION OF THESE TYPE OF DRESSINGS ARE VERY MISSLEADING AND INACCURATE.      I WILL HAVE TO RETURN MINE. THE DRESSINGS YOU HAVE TO WET - THE EDGES GET DRY AND HARD.

**Q: Do I need tape to hold in place?**
A: This wound dressing does not come with adhesive, so yes, you will need to adhere it to the wound.  Instructions should be provided with the item.  You can place a bandage over it to keep it in place.  You can also use a waterproof protective film like Tegaderm if your doctor recommended the wound not get wet.
