The plastic does soften in the sun so I unrolled it in the road to flatten it out in the sun. i installed it about 5" deep leaving 5 inches exposed. High enough that a riding lawnmower deck wont easily ride up onto it. It's .093" thick (3/32"). Awesome product. It should last for a long time. Review: Very durable edging - This edging is very thick, and appears it will last a long time. I have used it to block vegitation from growing under the fence from my neighbors yard - I nailed it into the fence posts. This was a lot of work as I had to excavate the area as I installed it but I think it will be worth it.
