I found this item and placed it on my shopping list, while I continued to try different things. I was worried it wouldn't fit in my tank when I got it. So I decided to try it out and order it. When I received it, I took it out of the package and it slipped into slot two of the tank like a glove. I paired it with some filter media that was recommended. Within hours, my tank was starting to clear up. I am now going to remove the sand and start slowly replacing the items in my tank. It restored my interest in the tank. Compared to the stock “foam “”””FILTER”””” insert” this thing works wonders. I got so sick of the weekly water-change and rinse the filter ordeal (only to keep detritus at bay) however since I have added this to my tank my water has become visibly crystal clear, it is very effective and does its job.
