I set them up to turn on cupboard lights when doors open, and to automatically turn on the hallway lights when the front door is opened at night. Once paired with my Zigbee setup (I’m running them through Home Assistant), the automations fire reliably and consistently, no lag or missed triggers. Installation was straightforward: the sensors are slim, powered by standard AAA batteries with up to ~2 years of life, and can be mounted with either the included adhesive tape or screws. Once connected they’ve stayed paired without any problems, and using regular batteries (rather than coin cells) makes swapping them out simple when needed. Overall these contact sensors have worked exactly as I’d hoped.
