(please also give the top diameter)** A: Thank you for your inquiry. The diameter of the Anolon Advanced Nonstick Skillet is 8- inches. The cooking surface diameter is approximately 7-inches. We hope this information is helpful. **Q: What are the exact dimensions of (1) the inner rim of the skillet, one side to the other, & (2) the outer rim of the skillet, one side to the other?** A: It is actually pretty hard to tell where the inner rim starts because the pan flares out. I would go with the 7-3/4". The outer rim is 8.5" **Q: I purchased the Anolon Advanced Umber Collection crepe skillet. There are NO directions on how to cook with this skillet** A: I just rec'd mine with a cardboard enclosure that has info of 'dos and don'ts.' Mainly to use low to medium heat, and not to use spray oils bc of residue, use butter or oil. For crepes, it is suggested to oil a paper towel and use that to apply to surface of pan for a light coating. They say you can use metal utensils to flip, but not to cut directly into the pan, so that's common sense. To clean, obviously, don't use abrasive pads. The handle has silicone on it, it says it's safe up to 400 degrees in oven. So paid extra to import from US. Looks stunning - wonderful size. But does not work on induction hob so completely useless to me.In fairness, the description does not say it is induction friendly. Equally, it does not warn that it is not. I just assumed the same brand/model would be the same in US. There are a couple of small, not really scratches, but marks on the inside but does not affect function and I do not feel anything is "peeling". I use this skillet and take care of it but don't baby it either. Hand wash and use wood or silicone utensils. It is still super non stick and easy to clean. I love the lid with the heat resistant cover. It's lightweight, but has a nice solid feel. It grills really well and leaves those well-defined grill marks we all love. It's size is ample for several burgers or chicken breasts, with plenty of room for added veggies. It also cleans like a dream. I've only had it six weeks, so I can't speak definitively about durability, but the non-stick surface seems so strong that I can imagine it lasting for years and years.
