Locate the metal disk Each hand warmer has a metal disk to start the reaction. 2. Click the disk Using your thumb and index fingers, click the disk. Make sure there is some gel around it as the click starts the reaction. 3. The gel will start to heat up The gel will rapidly turn cloudy showing that the pad is heating up. 4. Within seconds the pad will be hot Massage the gel for the first 10 seconds to speed up the reaction and make the pad hotter. The hand warmer is hot and ready within seconds! How to reset... Place in simmering water for 10 minutes, making sure the heat pad doesn't touch the side of the pan (using a small cloth or tea-towel as a barrier). Keep in the boiling water until they are completely gel/liquid inside again. We recommend you keep boiling for another few minutes longer past this, to make sure all the hard crystals have dissolved fully. This resets the chemical reaction and is ready to be reused. Once the heatpad has been reset in boiling water, remove the heatpads carefully from the water and leave to fully cool down to room temperature. The heatpads will be hot and should not be handled after leaving the water until cooled. Once the heat pad has cooled, it can the be clicked and used again when needed. These are so helpful not only to warm your hands but especially for ear pain. Good that they come in pack of 5. Don't need to boil them each time after use, I can wait until all are ready to be boiled

Incredibly helpful hand warmers. Put them in the pocket of my coat to warm my body and hands. Absolutely loved them. They stay warm for a long time, but I felt that the initial heat surge was the nicest and they cooled down to a body temperature quite quickly, Granted it was very cold in Iceland. The only downside when you are on a holiday is that you need to boil them after one use to re-use. If you have easy access to a hob, just pop them in a pan with water. Easy!
