Why this coffee tastes better.....A lot goes into it The way it’s roasted: AIR ROASTED VS DRUM ROASTED: We use an air or fluid bed roasting meaning our coffee beans are roasted naturally with hot air. This keeps each roast consistent, evenly heating each and every coffee bean. When roasting with hot air as the beans are roasted the chaff and any debris are blown or cleaned out as the beans are being roasted. Whereas a drum roaster (by which most of today's coffee is roasted) will keep the coffee beans, chaff and debris in the roaster. This causes sparking by the chaff making that burnt taste in most coffees especially in the dark roasts. We give you a clean roasted coffee bean so you can actually taste the coffee regions and identify the real flavor of the coffee. We roast the coffee and send it to you within a week. Much faster than a lot of big coffee companies, which take up to a year for that process and makes coffee bitter tasting. RESPONSIBLE BUYING OF COFFEE We buy mostly organic and only chemical free coffee but this alone doesn't make a great tasting coffee. Much more has to be done. Our coffees are bought as a region's harvest is done; meaning we will never import old crop coffees. We actually keep a harvest calendar and buy according to the current harvest. We also buy at very high grade standards. That is how committed and passionate we are to getting the highest quality coffee to our customers.

LOVE THIS COFFEE  Lone Cone's organic air roasted coffee is just what I've been looking for.  Tastes great, none of the burnt taste, like most darker roasts. They say this is because of their process of air roasting. Smells wonderful also, but the taste is fantastic. Can't wait to try some of their other blends. I would definitely recommend this coffee to any real coffee lover.
