Review: Literally steams through ironing making it a breeze? - I never thought I'd rave about an iron let alone pay this much for one but honestly, it's one of the best household gadgets I've ever purchased. It's lightweight and comfortable to use and the steam generator is second to none, hefty continuous blasts whenever you need them. It's also a doddle to use as there's no need to set the temperature - there's literally no dial, I don't know how it works but I've gone from a thick shirt to a silk blouse and it removes creases effortless but not burned a thing. It's also really smart, I live in a very hard water area which regularly clogs and destroys things but the iron monitors itself and warns when it needs a clean, then with the push of a button, it cleans itself through into the provided tray expelling all the built up muck in under 2 mins. Honestly, yes it's expensive but it's well worth the money!
Review: Another excellent Philips product - This has replaced my polti steam generator and what a difference this machine is, light and powerful. The steam generator has its own setting for heat so not adjustable which at first I was dubious about but it has handled everything I've thrown at it from clothing including jeans and cotton bedding with ease, with no issues regarding this function.So much lighter that the previous generator and also the water tank is removable so no longer carrying jugs of water to the iron, just remove the tank and fill. All in all I have no issues or complaints regarding this product and if this one fails in the future I will be buying another Philips. Thank you desertcart for a great machine and price.

**Q: Does it make a noise when the steam is i. Use?**
A: Yes it does

**Q: This iron seems to produce the steam a couple of seconds after you've pressed the button, instead of as you press the button, which is not ideal?**
A: Sadly yes this seems to be the case but this is less prevalent when taking it out of autosense and just having it at maximum.
Also, it does say in the instructions that prior to ironing the fabric you should first vent/steam away from the garment and only use short bursts on the steam button. I have found that doing this does to a degree alleviate the lack of steam and water marks quite a bit.

**Q: The steam doesn't seem to stop when you take you finger off the steam button? Is this how it's suppose to be? Seems a bit dangerous?**
A: Hiya, oh right yes that does seem dangerous if it doesn’t stop, I don’t think it’s supposed to do that. 
When I press the button on mine it gives a fast burst of steam and stops, so maybe your one is faulty?

A: Yep. If you double click the steam trigger, it releases a continuous stream of steam

I never thought I'd rave about an iron let alone pay this much for one but honestly, it's one of the best household gadgets I've ever purchased. This has replaced my polti steam generator and what a difference this machine is, light and powerful.
