I have made so much hooch, and mead, and wine out of it!. I got some "distiller's yeast" that can bring some juice or "sugar water" essentially, up to nearly 20% alc vol, in about 3 weeks, dependent upon temperature, ingredients etc.. Got a batch going on right now. Just looked up this exact same page again, to re-purchase an additional one (2 and a half years after 1st purchase). The glass is thick, and it's very sturdy. Really pleased with this carboy.
