It’s mounted on an SUV and I never have to fold it down in drive through restaurants. I also love the fold down feature. This is how a fold down antenna should be designed. Are you listening ham radio antenna manufacturers? It’s a tough antenna that doesn’t feel like it will break after a few folds downs. It’s perfect for local contacts out to about 2-3 miles in the city and perhaps 5 miles on the highway. I’m actually surprised how well this antenna has worked for me.
