Well, this stand helped me close up 4.5 inches of dead space behind my desk and prevents my monitor from falling over. This was one of the few stands that had solid edge sides instead of 4 individual legs, so it is really sturdy and distributes the weight evenly, as long as your gap is not more than 5 inches. The dark finish is ok--it arrived with some slight scratches and it is not sanded well, so there are some rough portions. The organizer compartments on top are helpful, but I only use the one to hold up my phone since I prefer a minimal look. This freed up more desk space for me and closed that back gap, so perfect for what I needed! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ More than described... *by G***Y on February 5, 2018* DARN IT! My desk has always been cluttered with random knick knacks that I had laying all over my desk and the indents on this thing help alot with that. Also didn't think having my monitor higher would be that big of a deal but honestly it is, it helps to relax my shoulders since i dont gotta hunch as much. There is plenty of room for as weird of stock stands as you can get.
