A: No. It twists open/closed

**Q: Should there be a cap to put on the valve after pumping out the air? Air goes back into mine.**
A: Yes there should be a white cap which you screw on.  Haven't opened mine waiting end summer use for chair cushions  but now going to check mine!!!

I ordered this large vacuum bag for my mattress topper, and it arrived the next day, well-packaged and in perfect condition. Unfortunately, after just two uses, the bag stopped working properly. It no longer seals as it should, which is very frustrating and makes me feel that the purchase was not a good value.While the delivery and packaging were excellent, I cannot recommend this product due to its poor durability.
