Not sure what the duty cycle of the coil is rated for. That would a guestion for the manufacture to answer. It even worked properly several dozen times. I had been using it as a starter solenoid in my '79 Jeep CJ7. It fit right in. This morning, however, I cranked the engine over and it would not disengage when I released the key back into running position. I turned the key all the way off and it still kept feeding power to the starter. I even disconnected the trigger wire from the relay but it was not until I was able to disconnect the starter from the solenoid that the starter stopped cranking. Not good. Not good at all! Too bad it's 21 days since the return window closed.
