## Description

Liquitex offers the broadest range of acrylic mediums to inspire creativity at every stage of the painting process. Varnish Mediums protect the painting surface from the environment and protect the pigments from ultraviolet light. Additionally, varnishes can be used to change or unify a painting’s surface sheen. Liquitex varnishes come in several different sheens which can all be intermixed for a customized sheen. Liquitex Archival Permanent Varnish Finishing Medium is a low-odor, permanent and durable medium with water-based technology, translucent when wet, clear when dry. Resists discoloring (non-yellowing, non-fogging) due to humidity heat and ultraviolet light. Can be used with Spray Paint, Heavy Body, Soft Body. Dries to a non-tacky, hard, flexible surface that is resistant to dirt retention. Hard, archival, non-yellowing and water-resistant when dry. Protects acrylic color from harsh elements. For interior and exterior use. APPLICATION: Apply as a final varnish over dry acrylic paint. Varnish surface and environment must be clean, dry and dust free. Acrylic paintings must be completely dried and cured for 48-72 hours before varnishing. Application may be done by brush or spray. Generally a sprayed application will be thinner, smoother and more even. Rolling or sponging application is not recommended. I thinned it slightly with water to help with a smooth, even application, and it worked beautifully. Once dry, it delivers a true high-gloss finish that really enhances the depth and vibrancy of the colors—my artwork looks sharper, richer, and more polished. Review: Perfect for my fluid art! - I was skeptical about using this because I had bad luck in the past with other brands and other types of varnish. I make fluid art on canvas and wood and was never satisfied of the finished varnished look of anything I tried until I tried this particular varnish. Boy am i impressed! I was recommended this varnish by another fellow artist and was amazed by the smooth and glossy look her paintings had. It does not leave off a glare when light hits it which can absolutely ruin a good painting. I can walk around the entire painting in a lighted room and there is no glare just a clean, glossy, smooth finish. I applied 3 coats waiting 3 hours in between and it worked out perfectly! It has pleasant and sweet smell and from what I read it is not toxic so I can actually use this indoors in a ventilated area which solves my problem of not being able to varnish in the winter. Stop searching for another varnish and try this one out! :)

I thinned it slightly with water to help with a smooth, even application, and it worked beautifully.
