Check in with your body more often with the clinically validated, easy-to-use Index™ BPM smart blood pressure monitor (Index BPM is for people 18 years or older. It is not available in all regions). When used properly, it delivers accurate blood pressure and heart rate readings you can view on the built-in display. Your readings can be optionally synced to your Garmin Connect™ account via Wi-Fi® technology, so you can see readings, history and trends in the Garmin Connect app on your compatible smartphone. You can also get reports in the Garmin Connect app to share with your health care provider. I take my pressure every morning, and it seems accurate, and I like that the data flows automatically into the Garmin Connect website to allow me to track trends over time. Battery life is great, and it works really well for me!
Review: one year on... - been using this bp monitor for over a year now. it is a better product than their twitchy weight scale. the initial device wifi/user setup was not very intuitive, it is kinda a slow slog. once you get past that part it is smooth sailing. I really dig the one touch 3X reading setting, it is awesome for early morning readings when you are not very awake. I use the 3x reading setting as default. the automatic cloud data sync is highly underrated. with garmin connect you can print or create a bp reading spreadsheet exportable PDF with the automatically saved readings. I think if you are actively tracking your bp for any length of time there is no simpler setup. I had a couple of cheaper bp cloud readers before but this unit beats them all in that respect. as far as AA batteries use I am still on the first set of duracells I swapped in on setup instead of what was supplied. finally, I feel this reader gives acurate readings like most of them out there do nowadays. I think the ease of use and automatic daily tracking is where this unit shines.

**Q: How accurate is this & is there a way to adjust to the readings I get from the equipment in my Drs office? My current home unit is greatly inaccurate.**
A: I was greatly disappointed in this product. I check my blood pressure multiple times a day. This Garmin unit has always given my high readings. I see a doctor once a week and the numbers I get from my doctor are in the normal range. My at home unit I was using before the Garmin device was right in line with my doctors readings. I have quit using my Garmin device all together as I do not trust the readings.
I hope this helps.

**Q: Can you use nimh rechargeable aaa batteries in this?**
A: nimh batteries will probably work but will have a shorter battery life than non non-rechargeable Alkaline

**Q: Can device be used as a stand alone without readings needing the app?**
A: Yes it can be used with our Mobile App, However it won't save the previous readings data with out app.

**Q: Is it FSA eligible ?**
A: Yes it should be

I have been a Garmin user for many years. I find their products pricey but exceptional and long lasting. I like the build of the BP cuff and the fact that it synchs to my Garmin ecosystem. I will probably use this much more than standard BP cuffs due to the convenience and tracking on the app.
