I have bought my fair share of cheap luggage, and usually stray from hard cover suitcases since they crack. Let me tell you... this is the BEST suitcase I have ever owned. I bought the first one 3 years ago, and the second a year later because I loved this one so much. I don't even use the (very nice) plastic cover for it and this thing barely has a scratch -- after being tossed around by airlines and drug through the mud in rugged places.
