I haven't had a delamination failure except for when a surface isn't completely flat, smooth, and clean. Surface prep matters and the resin that the chips/strips/boards are made of hold the tape extremely well and will pull the tape off of an uneven/rough/dirty/greasy surface. Flatten ANY uneven surface with a grinder or beltsander, a little wet 220 and 400, clean, let dry and apply. It'll stay anchored. -I have been using this Thermal Tape for a few months and have gone through 2 rolls on various LED lighting projects. So far none of the strips, tubes, or chips have overheated while at full power for hours at a time.
