The Leather is a beautiful shade of dark brown and marks easily but you can massage most scuffs and scratches out of it. That aside, the Crazy Horse Leather gives it an elegant distressed look and is very unique. The fact that this scratches easily also means it never has the same distressed pattern. I use a standard notepad and I have had no problems with the retaining clip holding it in and it appears to exert a fair amount of presure. I have yet to change it out for a new pad so maybe after heavy use, it may develop a retaining issue like the review below mentioned but, it appears to be more than enough for the general user who takes a light, to moderate amount of notes(I take only around ten pages of notes per week). The felt is a darker shade of heather grey and it is not glued to the backing form of the organizer so it puffs up a little and does not lay completely flat but, I feel that this only adds to the hand made appearance. All zippers and card/pen slots are of good quality and thick brown stitching is used and does not appear to be fraying or coming lose at all. All pockets are lined with a black stripped nylon fabric material which is a very discrete and stylish. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for felt organizers or distressed leather organizers. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product *by Z***. on August 28, 2018* Definitely a great product. The leather feels great but I have to admit, there is a very distinct smell. The smell lasts for about 2-3months. I have not had an issue with the clip board yet. Everything works fine, the quality is fantastic. I’ve had it for about 6 months and I always get compliments and questions about it. It works for me as a beverage manager, keeps everything organized. Highly reccomend! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good case, one minor nit. *by A***N on November 16, 2017* Pretty good case, the leather is perfect. The pad clip is absolutely worthless though, will not clamp on to any legal pads I own. Still, it's a great case for my iPad 12.9" Pro series 2.
