I use it on wet & dry hair. I use it if my scape is dry. I know that hair textures are different but, both my grown daughter & me both use it all the time. Her hair texture is more coarse where mine is a softer texture. There are some products she use that takes my hair out, but this Product does great on both Hair Textures. I apologize that I cannot help you any more about the scent other than it a pleasant smell to me. Maybe you can write & ask for a sample of the Oil from the company. It's worth the try. **Q: Can someone describe exactly what it smells like?** A: I cannot describe extractly how the Oil smells, other than i think it's a pleasant smell.
