I smell a strong lemon and wood shavings upon first spray that then dries down to a very musky skin scent. I can't seem to smell the rose note mentioned but perhaps I need to let it macerate for a while. The smell is very strong and can be worn for hours. The packaging included a sample of perfume and I enjoyed it more than the full bottle. The packaging was beautiful with the perfume being in a drawstring bag, but the box came dented despite having packing peanuts.
