The bottom is comfortably thick with memory foam style cushion and the overall stitching seems to stretch well that gives you a good fit. I like the color contrast between the inside and outside too. It has a rubber sole which I assume will give good slip protection but my plan is to wear these while sitting, otherwise I like my Birkenstocks around the house. One thing to warn: These slippers keep your feet really warm. I mean really really warm. So its great for cold climates and I am sure I will benefit from this come January. But now and then I need to slip them off to cool down because I mostly spend my time in my home office in 79F air conditioned Florida indoors. One thing to criticize (see my photo): The product tag inside the sole is not a great place to position it. It bothered me like a pebble in my shoe, so I had to cut it off from each pair.
