If you're going to be moving them about a lot, then you may find the readings vary a lot. Its as simple as that really, just keep them in one spot and don't move them about. As demonstrated already, they are strong. The display isn't backlit, but is large and easy to read as long as you can see around your enormous belly. The display can be set to read in pounds, stones, or even kilos if you are one of them newfangled measurement types. Resolution is to tenths of a pound, (one decimal place), which is good enough. There's no body-fat measurement or anything like that, so if you are looking for just a simple weight measurement, then these are really good for the price.
