Definitely good for a gift - in my case to myself. The frame is easy to assemble and the ink pad was good for several hand/footprints. The paper provided for doing the prints however was very thin and poor quality - just a normal piece of paper. Of course, babies move their hands and feet during this process so a flimsy piece of paper does make inevitable smudging even worse. I bought some card to replace the paper for 45p from a local shop. It makes a big improvement to the quality of prints, and the appearance in the frame. They should change this one feature!
