I went for Auburn because I'm a red head (duh) but considered the Fair as auburn sometimes means reddish dark brown (too dark for my pale skin) but Fair is often too ashy for me. Auburn is perfect, a reddish mid brown that looks very natural even directly against my fringe. Clearly I applied lightly so no doubt I could go stronger if I needed. I have been quite concious of rubbing my eyebrows (do I do that normally, is it the product?) but have slept in it and it's not budged or faded or rubbed off as yet. My slight worrying about any irritation from the product was unfounded. Wish they did it years ago! Would have saved me a lot of time and trouble. It comes off ok with wet wipes or make up remover, just needs a bit of a rub. But if like me, you have been used to having to enhance what you have got left, mine due to over plucking, back when it was fashionable to be thin, then use this the same way. I applied when it arrived and was expecting it to be waterproof and be on for three days as other reviewers had posted. I had a bath and washed my face, all traces of the product were gone, i was under the assumption that it would take an oil based product and some effort to remove, this was a gentle face wash. I reapplied before I went to sleep to see if it lasted over night but when I woke up in the morning it was half worn and required reapplication. On the upside its easy to apply and looks good on for a days wear, but is the same as any other gel products bought on the high street. Nice product but does not deliver on the long wear promise. Rated it 4 stars as its good, lots in the bottle and nice finish, easy to apply.
