From the manufacturer Angel Food Cake with Berries and Whipped Cream Ingredients Cake 1-1/2 cups sifted cake flour 1-3/4 cups granulated sugar, divided 12 egg whites, at room temperature 1/4 teaspoon salt 1-1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar 1 teaspoon Wilton Pure Vanilla Extract Whipped Cream 1 cup heavy whipping cream, 3 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar, Fresh strawberries and blueberries, 1 teaspoon Wilton Pure Vanilla Extract Angel Food Cake A dozen egg whites transform this cake into a light and airy angel food cake that delights your guests. It's extra yummy served with fresh berries and luscious whipped cream. Preheat oven to 325ºF. Sift flour with 3/4 cup sugar. In large bowl, beat egg whites and salt with electric mixer until foamy; add cream of tartar and beat until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in 1 cup sugar, sprinkling 1/4 at a time and beating well after each addition, until stiff peaks form. With a spatula, fold in vanilla. Gently fold in flour mixture 1/4 at a time over egg whites with an over & under motion. Fold additional 10 strokes after last addition until flour is blended. Gently transfer batter to ungreased pan. With spatula or knife, cut through batter gently. Bake on lower oven rack 60mins or till top is browned & cake tester comes out clean. Tip pan on counter to cool cake before removing from pan. Run knife around sides and center of cake to loosen. In large bowl, whip cream, confectioners’ sugar, and vanilla on high speed until stiff peaks form. Cut cooled cake horizontally and fill with whipped cream. Spread a thick layer of whipped cream on top of cake and garnish with fresh berries just before serving.

Review: Excellent quality - This does exactly what it says on the tin; it's a great tin for making angel food cake. Just taken one out of the oven and it's perfect. Light and airy, so springy - it's like eating a cloud! As others have said, it's aluminium (so therefore very lightweight and excellent at conducting heat) and specifically designed for making angel food cake. Not bundt cakes, not fruit cakes and not run-of-the-mill sponges. It's a specialist tin - so remember that before leaving 1-star feedback cos your friend's birthday cake came out burnt on the outside and raw in the middle! I didn't have the problem that others seemed to encounter with the label - maybe Wilton have listened to the feedback? Mine was held down with just 1 dot of the peelable goo that you get when you receive a card from your bank/credit card company - easy peasy to peel off. Cleaning-wise, it's a doddle. It looks horrendous when you remove the cake from the pan (obviously encrusted with dried on sponge as you can't grease the tin) - but 30 secs soak in hot, soapy water and it just wipes off - no scrubbing, no marking the tin. It has a removable bottom so there's no faffing, trying and praying that you don't rip the top of your cake in removing it. All in all, I'm absolutely delighted with my purchase. These things are like hen's teeth to get in the UK - none of the major suppliers seem to stock them.

**Q: does it have a removable bottom for removing the cake easily?**
A: Hi Mrs T.P. Yes ... it is two pieces .. you push it little bit to help releasing the inner layer. But I wish that these 3 stands are longer because the cake sometimes rises above their height. If you are making Chiffon cake you will need soft plastic spatula to separate the sides without any breaking to the cake then lift the tin from middle and it is easy to deal with the rest. ..

**Q: Hi my tube pan leaked. Any help as to why it has happened and how I can prevent it perhaps?**
A: I have never had this problem. May be your recipe is too runny and not suitable for the pan. You need to use a chiffon cake recipe.

**Q: Hi the pan is great so love them but i think i did wrong. when i used it for 5x the batter is dripping.can i bought the tube base only?**
A: It's for making chiffon cake, it works well when you use the correct amount of cake mix

**Q: Cooling legs - are these useful please? Are they better than turning the cake upside down onto a wine bottle to cool? Thanks x**
A: yes they are better because the idea behind the legs is while the cake is upside down cooling gravity is pulling the cake downwards,so you do not lose any of the rise on the cake, helping to keep it light and fluffy. hope this helps.

This does exactly what it says on the tin; it's a great tin for making angel food cake. Just taken one out of the oven and it's perfect. Light and airy, so springy - it's like eating a cloud! As others have said, it's aluminium (so therefore very lightweight and excellent at conducting heat) and specifically designed for making angel food cake. Not bundt cakes, not fruit cakes and not run-of-the-mill sponges. It's a specialist tin - so remember that before leaving 1-star feedback cos your friend's birthday cake came out burnt on the outside and raw in the middle! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for angel food cakes

Firstly let me say this is an amazing pan; this was the first time I've ever baked an angel food cake and it came out perfect first time. The legs on the pan are a brilliant addition that save you having to find something to prop it up on (although I did have to put something under the centre column to keep it in place). The cake slid out easily and it washed like a dream. The only reason I've taken a star off is because I've had a similar problem to other reviewers with the glue holding the packaging label on. It is the same sort of glue you get on new bank cards and such, however that sort of glue is for temporary use; after a while on the shelf it hardens and becomes a nightmare to get off. I tried a sponge, scourer, and a scrubbing brush, but nothing worked. To get all the glue residue off my pan I had to scrape it off really carefully, which obviously I didn't want to do because it's a new pan and I didn't want to scratch it.
