This is a MAJOR design flaw in these dryers! I have I had to replace this SAME part 3 times! Each one developed vertical cracks from the bottom of the tank and they gradually began to leak! The plastic appears to expand under the pressure of the weight of the water in the tank and high temperature inside the dryer.. Leaking water back into the dryer and taking longer to dry the clothes! I finally gave up & bought a different dryer, it was no longer cost effective - OR SAFE.
